Swirl offers a unique social media experience by facilitating connections within your local community.

Users can establish location-based chat rooms known as Lobbies. By setting up a geo-fence, hosts can define areas for "House Parties," "Block Parties," or "Events," enabling individuals within the vicinity to engage in these digital spaces.

Within a Lobby, users can discuss various topics such as sports, recommend dining spots, or share memorable moments like concert experiences. Tags can be applied to messages for easier filtering by others.

While Lobbies are displayed on a map accessible to all users, only those located within the designated area can join, interact, and view the content within the chat room.

When creating a Lobby at an event or gathering spot, the first attendee becomes the host. Swirl prohibits multiple competing Lobbies in the same vicinity to prevent overlap.

Lobbies self-delete within 5 minutes once all participants exit the location radius. Notably, a Lobby remains active even if the host leaves; however, all chat logs and participant details are purged upon closure.
